The title of this blog comes from Frank O’Hara’s beautiful poem of the same name. The poem is about sharing experiences with one you love – from being in a gallery taking in beautiful works of art, to traversing a crowded street, to the simplest of pleasures; having a coke with someone. Cinema is a glorious medium, and the beauty is in the sharing; be it the experience of watching or the sharing of thoughts afterwards, always over frozen cokes and choc-tops and buckets of popcorn.

My name is Ellen, and simply, I love cinema. On this blog I will share and review some of the films I love and some experiences that go with it: my personal stories, related exhibitions, film festivals and tidbits of film history and the characters that made it.

I would love to hear your thoughts and comments on my posts, and if you also write about film please share your site or follow me so I can see what you’re up to too.

You, madam, are the eternal humourist, the eternal enemy of the absolute, giving our vagrant moods the slightest twist!
